Rice is one of the easiest to digest foods since it contains mainly carbohydrates. However, brown rice can be much of a healthier choice but takes longer time to digest when compared with white rice. Brown rice also contains a lot of fiber, which can slows down digestion.

If we do cool it after boiling it becomes less digestible. The starch contained in the rice in fact becomes resistant, that is, it is not digested. So if you have digestive problems, eat it hot.
