Some beverage drinks which we consume contains little or more alcohol which isn’t dangerous to we humans when consumed in small quantity, but can be harmful when consumed by dogs, especially hard liquor drinks which contains 30%-50%-70%-90% alcohol.

Why Alcohol Is Dangerous To Dogs

When a dog is exposed to alcohol, it causes depression to their central nervous system, it makes the dog drowsy and looses cordination, when dogs consumes high level of alcohol it can depress their nervous system to a point that their breathing and heartbeat rate slows down, alcohol also drops their body temperature, their blood stream will also be altered.

This can lead to a condition called “Metabolic Acidosis”  This is a condition when the blood becomes more acidic.

At a point without treatment death may occur due to cardiac arrest liver or kidney failure.
